Sure Ricard, you are correct. We were invited to Kobben and had been there before as well. And Göran picked the spring line.

Stuart: It is easy to climb back from the dinghy. But the rope ladder we use isn't good enough for getting back from a swim (intended or not) so we are thinking about adding something better.

I think you should tell the full story. It's not a rock we just picked out of random. We had help and info about the place.

Looks like an idyllic cruising ground. Have you tried getting back aboard from the dinghy yet?

I've estimated total 200 meters of line for my Penny 26 sail. That's everything...Halyard, sheet, parrell, lazyjack, spare halyard.

I've been using a plier-stapler (commonly used in retail stores) for fitting all the tops and covers that I needed on my fixer-upper 48 foot cutter. I can then take the made-up construction home to the 80-year old patch machine I got from a shoe repair shop. The free-arm design allows a lot of tricky stitching. Not quite as seamless (?) as a professional upholstery job, but one that I can afford and maintain. Plier-staplers are available in big-box office stores.

I like that. Cost/benefit. It is of course useless. I think Philip Bolger http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Phil_Bolger wrote something interesting about that in one of his books. Of course I don't remember anything about it except that it had to do something about building a 12 ft long full-rigger.

Amos, I never said that that Matti learned to communicate- he was however trained to.
Cost/benefit is not a fuzzy concept when it comes to boats, it's absolutely useless in any way.
Cheers
