		<description>No. The bronze roller bearings are quite good and serviceable. But they are no better or worse or more or less expensive than ordinary ball bearing plastic things. They are heavier and look better, though. One bad and one good point.

But I would be silly talking about practical things when talking about sailing. (Like you did.) It is all about something else. Flying or going by car is much less expensive, faster and comfortable. Those kinds of transportation tend to be a bit smelly, ugly and less romantic, though.
