Grommets by the gross
Posted on July 13th, 2007 No commentsNo, don’t read the headline as proof of my love for alliterations. We just ordered three gross of #3 spur grommets. I like to think that the sail is finished. But as you can see, I am an optimist when it comes to adding the last touch. Like three gross of grommets. Hopefully attaching them to the sail will go really quick!

Good golly a gross of grommets, my goodness.. OK that’s the best I can do in the alleriteration department. But I can’t imagine where one would use over 400 grommets on a sail. Then again I’ve never made a junk sail and therefore am looking forward to seeing how you’ll use all these and am really learning a lot following your progress.

Actually. Since I just found out Tom Colvin only put grommets every other foot, we decided to try that. And have one and a half gross of spur grommets to use for the next sail or something…
